In a post titled ‘The habitual silence of the University of Calabar when it matters most, the former University of Calabar student decried the bad communication mechanism of his Alma mater, describing the university's move as medicine after death. In a now viral post shared on his verified Facebook handle, Emmanuel Richard accused the university helmsman of negligence of duties. The 2023 election has once again proven beyond any doubt that indeed the masses are the owners of power. How the big actors travel to the nooks and crannies of rural communities to canvass support is a lesson to be learnt by those who undermine the voices and collective will of the people at the grassroots. One of the things that togetherness can birth is the ability for goals to be accomplished with ease. A study of the establishment of the Igbo Imabana Women's Development Center has proven beyond doubts that, there lie great strength in unity, as earlier said. I see today as "a dream coming to it's realization state" for our Mothers who went all length to raise the beautiful edifice that awaits habitation. I have seen a lot of men struggling day and night to keep their families going and unfortunately for such men, they're joined in holy matrimony to women who aren't appreciative. Instead of helping their husbands, they criticize their efforts and at the end bring nothing to the table themselves. A situation where a woman stays at home from morning to night and all she does is wake up, bath, eat and sleep is practically termed "juju" except otherwise. When a man allows all the home bills to his wife because she's more of a giver, she's more financially stable and he himself fails to go out to struggle for his family, it's pure negligence of duties and responsibilities. CBN vows to arrest any Nigerian buying dollars with Naira  The Central Bank of Nigeria has vowed to arrest and prosecute Nigerians using naira to buy dollars. “For those taking money from banks to buy dollars, it is illegal to do so. If the security agencies hold you, you will know the implication of that,” Godwin Emefiele, CBN governor, said Tuesday at the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting in Lagos. Reading the riot act to bank customers, Mr Emefiele urged Nigerians illegally exchanging naira for dollar to stop, adding that the apex bank would conduct investigations and bar those found culpable from conducting transactions in Nigerian banks.
