IGBO IMABANA WOMEN'S DEVELOPMENT CENTER: A RAY OF HOPE FOR HUMAN CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT.

One of the things that togetherness can birth is the ability for goals to be accomplished with ease. A study of the establishment of the Igbo Imabana Women's Development Center has proven beyond doubts that, there lie great strength in unity, as earlier said.

I see today as "a dream coming to it's realization state" for our Mothers who went all length to raise the beautiful edifice that awaits habitation.

Our Mothers' love for growth, prosperity, progress and above all, Community development is the force behind their sleepless nights in labour of how the average Imabana Women and Youths can get equipped with advanced knowledge and practical skills that'll be able to lift them from the state of lack to financial independency.

Moves of this nature is what further makes a community formidable in all wise.
While the efforts of our Mothers remain commendable and worth emulating, I enjoin all well-meaning individuals to embrace Community service, as it is key for growth and development.

While the joy of what was conceived and delivered last, let it also be on record that any being, group or technology that fails to perform the functions it was made for is as good as not being in existence.
It is the functionality of the technology that creates value.

Even the Holy Bible in Matthew 5:13 acknowledges the fact that once the salt(value) losses it's saltiness(functionality) it is at that point good for nothing, should be cast away and trodden on.

The insinuations of the above statement is given to the fact that since successful completion of the ultramodern Women Development and Skills acquisition centre, it has been lying waste and desolate hence, raising questions on the morality of its establishment.

It is a known fact that every Community has a role to play in the development of a child. The refusal of the community to act is the foundation to why most people have failed in giving back to their Community.

Coretta Scott King once said that:
"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members".
These comprises of negative and positive actions. Every Community is known for what it harbour and it is complicated for neutrality to exist.

The youths and women of our great Community deserves to be liberated from the shackles of lack of information and access to what the world has revolved into.
The gospel of entrepreneurship should be encouraged, preached and practiced so as to lift souls from penury.

The Igbo Imabana Women's Development Centre is one among the multiple gateways in which empowering our youths for the future can be achieved.

Irrespective of the Educational level of our citizens, skills acquisition has garnered momentum in so many parts of the world. It is a revolution that needs everyone onboard - Every one of us need a skill to survive the current wave of unemployment and poverty in  Nigeria.

Worthy to note is the fact that before the advent of civilization and modernization in Africa, crafts and skills were amongst the mechanism that gave our parents the pass tickets to sustaining their family's livelihood.

Today's world despite the huge wealth from our natural resources, a set of politically privileged individuals are the illegal beneficiaries. We need self employment to tackle the issue of suppression that has arisen as result of their continued dominance on the nation's wealth.

An illiterate with skills in this current dispensation can be said to be better than a graduate without a skill and no job.

It is therefore a call to all our leaders from Igbo Imabana to support the youths through skills acquisition programs and start up grants/equipments.

Similarly, the Federation of Igbo Imabana Students World Wide (FIIS-WW) is another platform that should be empowered to be able to stand the test of times.

Already, the Government has neglected the Students, paid deaf ears to the Educational sector of the country and making the payment of salaries and welfare of the higher institution/lecturers a crime.

Students from Igbo Imabana should be empowered as they hold the key to the future development of the community.

Setting up a committee with experts and NGOs that will oversee the functionality of the Centre will be a right step towards the attainment of the center's set goal.

Igbo Imabana is our only option and a sacrifice for one is for all.
If we stand by each other in every situation, it'll be accorded unto us that "Igbo Imabana is a United and Progressive Community".

Together we will get Igbo Imabana working in the right direction.

God bless Amabana!

DEMOCRACY DAY: THE REMAINS OF A DECAYED NATION AND THE WAY FORWARD.

On 1st October 1960, the Nigerian people could not hold their excitement as they finally broke out from the shackles of colonialism, slavery, and the imperial rule of the Queen of England. For the longer years of intimidation, infringement of human rights, desecration of the traditional Nigerian society, exploitation of natural resources and introduction of systems that at best worked against the Nigerian people and the misunderstanding and war between the amalgamated protectorates. The first Republic coming to an early end through coups and counter coups was unplanned and unforseen. In fact, it was disastrous and deadly was its consequences. Attempts to eradicate bad governance led to the above mentioned fatal experiences and all hopes for change placed on the civilians coming back to occupy the seat of power were a mere imagination.  The June 12th, 1993 Presidential election was considered in the history of Nigeria's politicking as the most free, credible and fair ele...

CHRISTIAN FRUITFULNESS

Photo: Emmanuel Richard (Author) SEX AND REPRODUCTION. •Genesis 1:28 - KJV Sex is one of the enabling factors that effect God's word on the subject of reproduction.  In as far as sex is concerned, there's a pattern of application that is suitable to God - The one enjoyed in the bond of holy matrimony. When reproduction is mentioned in the Bible, so many ignorant believers tie it to only the physical human procreation without taking into careful consideration the place of God in the helm of affairs which in all percentage is purely spiritual. Fruitfulness in the Bible isn't only tied to childbearing but the ability for spiritual men to subdue the earth, expand the gospel of the kingdom and have dominion over principalities, powers and everything that exists on earth.  (Acts 1:8 KJV ) It is this shallow mindset of what reproduction really entails that has caused so many Christians to rush into marital conjugation as to enable them "free" themselves from ...
